.

Why did you decide to apply for a hospitality placement internship abroad?

I became aware of opportunities in Australia through the Internet and friends. A few reasons, why I applied for a Hospitality Internship in Australia is because I believe this is a unique opportunity to travel, learn and gain work experience. In Canada we hear great things from people who have visited Australia and I know this is a great opportunity for me to visit, experience and learn more about a different culture.

.

How do you think this will help you in the future?

Going to Australia will also be beneficial to my future because it will show that I am willing to put out more than the average individual, when it comes to work. You will find I have the dedication to get out and find employment and I look forward to working on such a prestige resort, which will also help me with future employment in the hospitality industry.

.

What are you most looking forward to in Australia?

Besides the great opportunity, I am also looking forward to escaping a Canadian winter even though I love skiing and playing hockey during the winter season. I am also very interested in your wildlife and look forward to seeing the vast amount of different terrain and animal species your country has to experience.

.

What do you hope to achieve/ learn on your internship abroad?

I would also like to learn about the sporting events in Australia and how they differ from the sports in Canada and I would like to better myself by increasing my knowledge and work experience in the hospitality industry.

.

How do you think future employers will view your time abroad?

I think future employers will look at my time abroad in Australia and see that I am outgoing and capable of handling work environment changes and that I can work with different people in a professional manner.

.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how excited are you?

I am extremely excited about an internship in Australia and what I will be able to learn and experience, and I would rate myself 10 out of 10
