Why did you decide to apply for a hospitality placement internship abroad?

The first thing which interested me in applying for a hospitality placement internship is getting the opportunity to travel the world and visit various places and see the diversity in cultures, food, working environments and living etc. I have always liked to travel, and Australia has always been appealing to me, as I have heard so many people who have been before, say how much of a beautiful place it is. I feel that being in the hospitality industry, gives you fantastic opportunities such as this, and allows you to see different things and how they work in different countries.

How do you think this will help you in the future?

I think that this will help me in the future because I will learn a lot from this experience and it will help gain and develop my skills and knowledge in the hospitality industry. It will also help me to progress for near future careers, and enhance my employability.

What are you most looking forward to in Australia?

I am most looking forward to seeing the beautiful sites which Australia has to offer, and looking forward to working in a new environment and gaining such a great experience, and meeting new people. I am also looking forward to the weather and being so close to a beach!

What do you hope to achieve/ learn on your internship abroad?

I hope to achieve relevant skills and gain more knowledge of the hospitality industry and be able to take away with me useful aspects in which I can use in my future career.

How do you think future employers will view your time abroad?

I think that future employers will view my time abroad as a great experience and it will also show my diversity of working in different types of establishments. I think my time abroad will be valued by future employers.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how excited are you?

I am really excited about going to Australia, definitely a 10! It will be an experience of a lifetime.
